Welcome to the East Berkshire Education Business Partnership;
more commonly known as the EBeBP. Your son, daughter or
relative may already be in a secondary or primary school that holds
membership with the EBeBP.
You may wish to know a little more about what services the EBeBP
can offer your child's school and the ways in which your child can
benefit.
To begin, Work Related Learning (WRL) is the fundamental
grounding of the EBeBP, our purpose thereby to facilitate and
manage links with local schools and businesses within the East
Berkshire area.
Some of the aspects of Work Related Learning include
facilitating the work experience placements for over
5000 students each year, and delivering enterprise events in schools and
colleges. These events relate to equipping secondary
students with the employability skills businesses seek in new
recruits.
The EBeBP also deal with local primary schools, delivering
workshops that deal innovatively with topics related to Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), in a bid to
encourage young people's interest in the subjects.
However, the EBeBP do not deal first-hand with the parents or
guardians of our schools' students. The most helpful place to
gain information relevant to your child is to refer to the
school. It is the school that determines the programmes,
processes and structure they believe is best for their students,
as the EBeBP is here to tailor all aspects of
Work Related Learning and STEM work to each school's
requirements and needs.
The menu on the left will help inform you of the kind of
things the EBeBP offer local schools, some that your
child may already be involved in.
